History: After being served by bookmobiles for several years, the first permanent public library in Wyoming County was established in Mullens in 1967, and a year later a second library opened in Oceana. In 1972, the growing county library system added another facility in Pineville, and a fourth branch in Hanover was opened in 1995. Today, the Wyoming County Public Library system serves more than 25,000 residents.
